You've Been A Good Old Wagon (episode 10)

This week, Lindsay gives an elegy for her broken cart, wonders what to name her new one, goes on the radio, and talks about dogs she's met recently. We also give a shoutout to 'Still Buffering', a podcast about being a teen; Jake got them to mention our podcast when we were just starting out!

If you want to hear the Still Buffering segment that mentioned us, it's in the episode about homework, and you can click here to jump to the exact spot where they talk about us.

Thanks also to WLRH's Beth Norwood for interviewing Lindsay. You can hear the interview by clicking here!

Georgia!! (episode 4)

Lindsay has walked across the entire state of South Carolina, and is now in Georgia! In getting to that, we talk about being stuck in a motel for a couple of days due to bad weather, plus a couple of great families who have helped her out this past week.

In addition to this week's developments, we talked a little about a couple of charities that Lindsay has come across during her journey. First, she talked to a veteran about the Saratoga WarHorse Foundation, which you can find more information about at http://www.saratogawarhorse.com/ .

We also talked about a partnership between Culley Carriers and Walking Tall: Free Haircuts for Homeless, who have teamed up to collect bagged lunches, gloves, hats, backpacks, and toiletries for the homeless; they want to get supplies for 100 people. For additional information, go to http://www.walkingtall.life/ . If you also want to help out the homeless people in your area, then that also would make us very happy!

If you're interested in Lindsay's saga, then, in addition to what's on this website, you might want to check out Lindsay's facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/monroelindsay . Lindsay posts a lot of photos there, and a lot of the people she encounters on her walks also turn up to check in with her!

Thanksgiving and camel rides (episode 3)

In this episode, Lindsay celebrates Thanksgiving with some new friends, rides a camel for the first time, encounters a friendly drug dealer, and experiences some scares. You can keep up with her day to day adventures on facebook or on the lindsaywalks.com website.

As I write this, she's in Batesberg-Leesville, SC and will be heading west from there. If you, or someone you know, is in that general area, around Route 23, 378, or 1, in South Carolina out to the Georgia border, and are up for letting her crash on your lawn, or anything like that, then please get in touch with her or with her stepbrother Jake.

Happy Birthday! (episode 2)

In this episode, Lindsay celebrates her 35th birthday at Gypsy's Village, meets some other helpful people on the road, makes Thanksgiving plans -- and walks a third of the way across South Carolina.

If you're going to be on her route, and might be able to offer her a place to pitch her tent, please get in touch with her on facebook! That's also a good place to go for day to day updates. She's also posting photos, and occasional blog entries, on lindsaywalks.com.

Setting Out In The Rain (episode 1)

Lindsay has hit the road! She and Tim started driving down to South Carolina on Thursday September 10. This conversation was recorded a couple of days later, on her first day of walking, and she talks about dealing with rain, the pleasures of walking, and other things of note.

You can see pictures that Lindsay's taken if you click on 'Images' on the lindsaywalks.com web page.  She's also been posting some things on facebook at and on Instagram.

If you have MyRoute-App, you can track her progress on the app, or online at https://www.myrouteapp.com/en/social/track/41620 .
